New Friends

Today will be random...lol I was just playing my usual game apps on Facebook and ran across a recipe for "Make Your Own Cadbury Eggs" ...so I clicked on the link and it brought me to another blogger here =) Hope she don't mind but I have decided to follow her. I have a collection of cookbooks and LOVE to cook when there are people who LOVE to eat. When I was in High School I went to Area and District with cooking with VICA. I have always had a passion for cooking and worked best (I think) when I was working in the Food Service Business. I am now in the Medical Field (and love it)..but sometimes I just pull out the ole cookbook and make for fun. I got my Love of cooking from my grandmother I think. My mama and her mama could cook,, but if they didn't have to...I think they never would have, but my daddy's mama Loved to cook up a table full. I sure do miss her. She passed away in February 2009 but she left me her cookbooks and I feel Honored. My mama is still with us as to date, but she cannot cook anymore due to arthiritis in her hands, but she would if she could I'm sure. I wish my mama could still do the things she used to do. I am used to a mama that randomly got up and just went anywhere she wanted to go...she will go now, but we have to beg her to go...so sad how Life treats us sometimes. My daddy passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2010 and I know she misses him more than anything..wish for all our sakes he could come back even for just one more day. He was my Best Friend and ALWAYS will be...Life will NEVER be the same without him. Anyways...I want to follow Kristin because she has some interesting ideas and looks like she would be Fun to follow...so come follow her too =)
